Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy

If HRT is the right treatment, we usually send your prescription after your first appointment.  We'll typically require at least one follow-up within six weeks to see if symptoms have improved, get a sense of how you feel, and review any labs that were ordered at your first visit.  If things are going well, we'll typically ask for another follow-up within the next four to six months.  If the dose has to be adjusted, we might ask you to follow-up again in six weeks.

So, in the best of situations, we'll see you twice in the beginning, then six months after, and then maybe once a year, or as you need.  More complicated cases might require 3 to 4 visits in the beginning, and then a cadence of every six months to a year, depending on symptoms and complexity of your case.

We prescribe both FDA-approved hormone replacement therapy medications and compounded medications, depending on what's most appropriate for your individual needs.

FDA-approved medications can be filled at your preferred local or mail-order pharmacy, such as Walgreens, CVS, or others in your insurance network.
